Second Public Hearing

Mecklenburg County will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 5 pm at theR.Z.U.A. Headquarters, 2504 Rocky Branch Road, La Crosse, VA 23950 to solicit public input on the proposed Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) proposal to be submitted to the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development for the Quail Hollow Project. Residents of the project area are encouraged to attend. The Quail Hollow Project proposal will include the following activities: housing rehabilitation and construction, sewer, and storm water improvements.

 

The draft CDBG proposal will be presented for comment along with information on projected beneficiaries, including the number of low- and moderate-income residents to benefit from the proposed project, and plans to minimize displacement. Citizens will also be given the opportunity to comment on the County’s past use of CDBG funds. A fact sheet on the proposed project and the draft proposal is available at the offices of the Southside Planning District Commission, 200 S. Mecklenburg Avenue, South Hill.
