Virginia Ports

The Port of Virginia
Located at Hampton Roads, the Port is easily accessed via US Route 58 or Norfolk Southern Rail Service. It is the second-busiest on the East Coast after New York, and offers trade to more than 100 countries. The Port also offers Intermodal service—cargo may be shifted directly from ship to train or truck. The Port consists of three large state-owned marine terminals and one inland:Deep Sea Containers In and Out

• Newport News Marine Terminal
• Virginia Inland Port, a container transfer center

The Port of Richmond
A container and general cargo facility located just south of Richmond on Interstates 95 and a short drive north or Mecklenburg.
The port offers:
• Intermodal service
• Excellent inland geographic location 100 miles from the head of the James River
• Rail Service by CSX & Norfolk Southern
The port features:
• Dock Apron: 1,584’ wharf, 25’ depth alongside
• Cranes: M-250 Manitowoc; 4,600 Manitowoc, & 4,100 Manitowoc; heavy lift capability on request
• Warehouse Capacity: 284,000 sq. ft.
• Open Storage: 39 acres
• Total area: 121 acres
