Wastewater: Capacity is 600,000 gallons per day. Present use is 220,000 gallons per day.

The town has a storage capacity for 1,650,000 gallons overhead and 200,000 gallons ground. Wastewater: The Town of South Hill owns a 2 MGD wastewater treatment plant. The original plant built in 1984 was upgraded to its present capacity in 1994. Average flow-through is .75 MGD leaving a reserve capacity of 1.25 MGD. The plant serves all industrial parks in South Hill. Solid Waste Disposal Solid waste disposal is provided throughout the county by Mecklenburg County for all areas.
