How Do I... Apply for
Business License:
Contact the Town in which you are locating your business. If you are locating outside of Town limits you do not need a Business License as the County does not require a Business License.
Water / Wastewater Service:
Contact the Town in which you are going to reside or locate a business.
Solid Waste Pick-up:
Contact the Town in which you are going to reside or locate a business. Solid waste pick-up is not provided to residents or businesses located in the County. If you are located in the County, your household garbage must be transported to dumpsters located throughout the County or to the Regional Landfill located at 4803 Highway 92, Chase City, VA.
Concealed Weapon Permit:
An application for a concealed handgun permit must be completed and returned to the Circuit Court accompanied by payment of the applicable fees. A photo ID along with proof that applicant has demonstrated competence with a handgun will need to be presented when submitting application. The applicant will then be sent to the Mecklenburg County Jail to be fingerprinted and background checks will be run. The Sheriff will sign off on the application and submit to the courts. Individual shall be notified within 45 days as to the issuance of the concealed handgun permit.
